Belfast City Marathon Participants are Off!!
For the first time the organisers of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City
Marathon are posting out all race numbers, timing chips and instructions to
participants of the Marathon Run, Wheelchair Race, Team Relay, 8 Mile Walk
and Fun Run before Race Day.
The idea for the change is to make the event hassle free for everyone
attending, so entrants can concentrate on preparing themselves for Race Day
rather than making travel arrangements in the days leading up to it, in
particular for those who were travelling from outside Belfast or Northern
Ireland.
Event Manager, Claire O'Reilly, added;
"We are very excited about our new plans as we are trying to get in line
with other major races across the UK such as the Great North Run Series.
This new process will enable our participants to get more at the finish
line when they complete their personal challenge…whether it is the full
26.2 miles or the 3 mile fun run…they ALL will receive a new goody bag
containing treats from sponsors but also the first ever Deep RiverRock
Belfast City Marathon Finisher T-Shirt 2014."
So if you have registered already, watch out, your pack will be with you in
the next few days.
Entries are still available for the 2014 Deep RiverRock Belfast City
Marathon until midnight on Friday 18th April, so don't miss out on being
part of our new history and receiving your Finisher T-shirt by registering
