FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon Pack Collection goes on tour
with Translink in 2021
Given restrictions this year due to the ongoing pandemic, the organisers of
the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon are delighted to be able to
provide an alternative option to receive your race pack for their October
marathon event.
Official Transport Partner, Translink and Official Charity Partner, Cancer
Focus Northern Ireland will be going on tour with the Deep RiverRock
Belfast City Marathon to provide several pack collection opportunities at
park and ride locations, across the province.
On Saturday 11th September, the pack collection teams will be stopping at
two Translink park and ride locations - Toome and Ballymartin. Followed by
Sprucefield and Dundonald park and ride areas on Saturday 18th September.
David Cowan (Translink) said;
"As the Official Transport Partner of the Deep RiverRock Belfast City
Marathon, we are encouraging participants to let public transport be
another healthy move you make this year. As lockdown eases, more people
are choosing active travel by bus, coach and train and are making shorter
and less frequent car journeys to help improve the world around us. With
this in mind, we are delighted to offer participants of the 2021 Deep
RiverRock Belfast City Marathon the opportunity to pick up their race pack
at one of our easily accessible park and ride locations this September."
Participants are welcome to collect packs on behalf of friends and family
but must book their place in advance. For full details please visit
www.belfastcitymarathon.com/news
If however you are unable to join the pack collection teams in September,
there will be another opportunity at Ormeau Park, Belfast on Saturday 2nd
October 2021 10am - 4pm, ahead of the Sunday event. NO PACKS WILL BE POSTED
OUT.
And if you still haven't registered, there's still time! Limited entries
are available for the Team Relay, 8 Mile Walk and Fun Run events at
www.belfastcitymarathon.com and the final deadline is Friday 27th August*
*Entries may sell out before this date due to capped numbers. Please note
the Marathon only event has now sold out.
The 39th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon will start from the iconic
Stormont Estate on Sunday 3rd October 2021, with a full line up of events
to suit all levels of fitness including the Marathon, Team Relay, 8 Mile
Walk and Fun Run. Participants are encouraged to #MakeItCount in 2021 and

more people survive from cancer.
