Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half
Marathon Sell Out for Eleventh Straight Year
HOUSTON - (September 3, 2015) - The Houston Marathon Committee has
announced that for the eleventh-consecutive year, the Chevron Houston
Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon have reached their capacity.
"Selling out for the eleventh consecutive year is a testament to the
excitement and support we receive from the greater Houston community, the
entire Houston Marathon Committee, our 7,000 volunteers and our wonderful
sponsors," said Executive Director Wade Morehead. "Our running community is
second to none, and we are so thankful for the runners who choose our race
annually as well as those who selected our event to run their first race."
Race-day for the 44th Chevron Houston Marathon and the 15th Aramco Houston
Half Marathon is Sunday, January 17,2016. The participant cap for both
races is 27,000; 13,500 in the half marathon and 13,500 in the marathon.
Runners can still enter the 2016 marathon and half marathon races through
the Chevron Houston Marathon's Run for a Reason charity program. Charity
entries are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
