2014 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon Race Registration Launches on
National Running Day - June 4
June 4, 2014 (Dallas) - Registration for the 44th running of the MetroPCS
Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon, 5-Person Relay and the SMU Cox Corporate
Relay Challenge presented by Behringer is now open at dallasmarathon.com.
Runners from across the nation will share their passion for running today -
June 4 - in celebration of National Running Day, including participants in
the Dallas Marathon Kickoff Run and Epic 80's Party Presented by Miller
Lite. MetroPCS Dallas Marathon race organizers are hosting the 4.4K fun run
and post-race party to coincide with the launch of registration season, and
registered participants are treated to free beer and giveaways, food trucks
and music from 80's cover band, Live 80.
"We're excited to be kicking off registration season for the 2014 MetroPCS
Dallas Marathon by pairing a fun event for our local running community with
a launch date that's significant to runners across the nation," said
Patrick Byerly, president of the Dallas Marathon. "Our registration kickoff
is just a small glimpse of the entertaining race experience all runners can
expect at the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon on Sunday, December 14."
The MetroPCS Dallas Marathon, which benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital
for Children, will be held on Sunday, December 14. Runner fees for the
marathon, half marathon and 5-person relays opened today at $100, $85 and
$250, respectively. Registration opening prices are available through June
