MetroPCS Dallas Marathon Announces Sponsorship
Agreement With Columbia Business School
Two-year Agreement Pairs Prominent New York and
Dallas Business Communities With Passion for Fitness
DALLAS (Oct. 13, 2014) - Organizers for the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon today
announced a sponsorship agreement, through 2015, with Columbia Business
School for the 2014 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer
Relay. The partnership will include promotional events hosted in New York
City and Dallas throughout the year and MetroPCS Dallas Marathon race
weekend activation.
Officials from the Dallas Marathon and Columbia Business School will
organize a three-mile fun run on Wednesday, October 15, at 6 p.m., along
Dallas's popular Katy Trail. A happy hour led by Brian Turrentine, managing
director at JPMorgan Chase and a Columbia Business School alumn, will
immediately follow at Katy Trail Ice House.
"We are proud to be a sponsor of the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon as it
represents a wonderful opportunity for us to broaden our relationship with
Dallas professionals and the running community across Texas," said Julie
Rademaker, senior director of marketing at Columbia Business School. "We
feel a special kinship with endurance athletes and recognize that, similar
to achieving an MBA, the persistence, dedication and extreme discipline
required to complete a marathon lays the groundwork for lifelong success
well beyond the finish line."
"We're excited to partner with such a highly prestigious institution as
Columbia Business School," said Patrick Byerly, president of the Dallas
Marathon. "This new partnership will help expand our race's reach and
appeal and create an entertaining and memorable series of events throughout
the year and on December 14."
