DALLAS (September 7, 2016) - The Dallas Marathon board of directors today
announced Paul Lambert, a running industry veteran and longtime runDisney
executive, as the new President of the Dallas Marathon. In his role, which
begins immediately, Lambert will oversee all Dallas Marathon events
including the RunDallas Race Series, Oncor Mayor's Race 5K and the BMW
Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay. Lambert will also guide
organizational development and work with the board of directors to execute
and extend the Dallas Marathon's mission of improving health and fitness in
the community.
"The BMW Dallas Marathon has all the right fundamentals to continue to grow
and expand: a strong history, a clear mission, exemplary partners and
dedicated fans, volunteers and participants," said Lambert. "I am excited
to begin what I see as a tremendous opportunity to bring the Dallas
Marathon's passion for health and fitness to life in new and engaging
ways."
Lambert worked for 18 years as the Director of Sports at ESPN/Disney's Wide
World of Sports, leading the expansion of the runDisney race program from
one event to a series of race weekends and challenges held across the

rebrand process of Disney's sport properties and dramatically grew revenues
and profits to record highs during his time at ESPN/Disney, where he led a
sports tourism team of 60 individuals. Lambert served previously as a

venues, sponsors and brands. He holds a master's degree in Sports Tourism
and Hospitality Management from Temple University.
Lambert will lead the Dallas Marathon staff in development and oversight of
marketing and communications, race logistics and strategic planning. He
will also use an extensive sports background in support of partner outreach
and activation.
"Paul is a visionary leader with outstanding experience in strategic
planning, programming, and event and organization management," said Lisa
Croley, chairman of the Dallas Marathon board of directors. "We're excited
to welcome Paul to Dallas as we near the 46th running of the BMW Dallas
Marathon and continue to expand our organization's commitment to health and
fitness in the community."
