Dallas Marathon Festival Announces Four-Year Title Partnership Extension
with BMW & DFW BMW Dealers
Registration is now open for the 2023 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival with the
celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Half Marathon and new
walking-only events
DALLAS /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ - The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival is pleased
to announce the extension of its partnership with the Dallas-Fort Worth
Area BMW Centers as title sponsor through 2027. BMW has been the proud
title sponsor of the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival since 2016, and this new
agreement ensures their continued title partnership for a total of 12
years.

with the Dallas-Fort Worth Area BMW Centers. They have been a tremendous
partner to the marathon festival, and we are looking forward to expanding
our partnership over the next four years," said Paul Lambert, president of
runDallas, the BMW Dallas Marathon's parent organization.
The extension of this partnership will include direct funding from the
Dallas-Fort Worth Area BMW Centers to runDallas, as well as the Festival's
beneficiary Scottish Rite for Children. Since the Dallas-Fort Worth Area
BMW Centers became title partner, the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend
of events has expanded from three events to 12 events over three days,
offering a wide range of event distances (running and walking) to appeal to
every member of the family.

Registration for the 2023 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend is
officially open. As one of the premier marathon festival events in the
United States, organizers are excited to kick off registration by
announcing the 20th anniversary of the Half-Marathon, and the addition of
walking only events for the 5K and Half Marathon. This year's event weekend
promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with exciting new
features that are sure to attract families, runners, walkers and spectators
from all over the DFW area, the nation and over 20 countries.

businesses, to participate in this year's festivities and enjoy our
holiday-themed events and activities that will take place during race
weekend. This will be an exhilarating experience for all who attend," added
Paul Lambert. "New this year is all kids 14 years old and younger will run
or walk for free in all of our events and will receive all the same
amenities paid adult participants receive."
The annual BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon (running and walking), 50K
Ultra Marathon, 5-Person Marathon Relay and the 2-Person Half Marathon
Relay will take place on Sunday, Dec. 10. The 10K, 5K (running and
walking), 5K Team Challenge, Kid's 100-Yard Dash and Oncor Kid's Race will
be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, and the Friday Night Lights Mile will return
on Friday, Dec. 8.
The newest additions to the Marathon's weekend of events are the 5K and
Half-Marathon walk. The walkers will get to enjoy the same 5K and
Half-Marathon courses as the runners and all the same amenities in a
walker-friendly environment that will be enjoyable for large groups and
families.
The weekend of events will begin Friday, Dec. 8, with the Health & Fitness
Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, where participants can
pick up race packets, collect information and buy merchandise from running,
fitness and health-related vendors. Admission into the Expo is free and
runs through Saturday.
Participants can register for the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend of
events starting today. BMW Weekend Series participants (runners and
walkers) can choose any combination of individual events across Saturday,
Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec.10 to complete the series. Those who complete the
series will earn an additional bonus medal, a custom Asics finisher jacket
and a commemorative event weekend poster. Participants are encouraged to
register now for the best price of the year, as prices will increase
throughout the summer and fall.
The BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend of events directly benefits
Scottish Rite for Children. Since being named as the primary beneficiary in
1997, the Dallas Marathon Festival has donated more than $4 million to the
organization.
