 Edinburgh Marathon Festival joins forces with Nuffield Health for 2016

Edinburgh, January 26, 2016 -- The Edinburgh Marathon Festival last week 
signed off on a marketing partnership with leading health and well-being 
organisation Nuffield Health. 

Annette Drummond, Marketing Director for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, 
believes the partnership is a great opportunity for both businesses. She 
said: "We're delighted to have partnered with Nuffield. Their pioneering 
approach to healthcare brings together fitness, prevention and cure, which 
in turn will help to arm our runners with the support, information and 
facilities to get - and stay - healthy."

The Edinburgh Marathon Festival attracts over 30,000 runners to the capital 
each May and is second only to the London Marathon in terms of size. The 
Edinburgh Marathon joined the world's elite road races by becoming the 
first in Scotland to be officially recognized by the International 
Association of Athletics Federations, the athletics governing body. The 
IAAF bronze label now puts the Edinburgh Marathon among the top 75 in the 
world making it a pivotal part of the sporting calendar for runners.

Together with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival official charity, Macmillan 
Cancer Support and more than 200 other charities, the organisers are hoping 
to raise more than £4.5 million this May which will be the 14th Edinburgh 
Marathon Festival.

The annual Edinburgh Marathon Festival will take place on 28/29 May 2016, 
charity entries remain open for the full marathon, while all entries are 
still available for the half marathon, 10K, 5K, team relay and junior 
races.
