    BIRMINGHAM SOLDIER BEN KASPER TAKES ON MULTIPLE MARATHONS FOR EB
  
A man from Birmingham is set to run 20 10ks, 15 Half Marathons, 15 Full 
Marathons and 5 UltraMarathons in 2016.

Ben Kasper, 28, from Brierley Hill is taking on this incredible feat to 
raise money for DEBRA ; anational charity supporting those affected by 
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB refers to a group of skin conditions which 
cause blistering and tearing of the skin at the slightest touch. Given the
absence of a known cure, DEBRA's work is split between funding research and 
supporting those affected by EB to enhance their quality of life.

Ben's 2016 race calendar includes the Edinburgh Marathon on 29th May as 
well as trips to London and Barcelona for a crack at 26.2 miles. Despite 
only taking up running in October 2015, Ben has a good base of fitness 
having spent four years in the British Army. He aims to raise £2,500 over

As well as raising money for charity, Ben has found that his remarkable 
challenge has inspired others around him. He said: “As well as helping 
DEBRA, I have managed to inspire many people to start running and work 
towards getting a little healthier which is great!”

ADDITIONAL NOTES
Second only to the London Marathon in terms of size, the Edinburgh Marathon 
Festival weekend on Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29 2016 includes the 
full marathon as well as the half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, two junior races 
and the increasingly popular team relay marathon, affectionately called the 
Hairy Haggis Team relay.

the first in Scotland to be officially recognized by the International 
Association of Athletics Federations, the athletics governing body.The IAAF
