Houston Marathon Committee Unveils New Aramco Houston Half Marathon Logo
In celebration of National Running Day and in conjunction with the
beginning of Open Registration for the 2016 Chevron Houston Marathon Race
Weekend of Events, the Houston Marathon Committee (HMC) today unveiled a
new logo for the Aramco Houston Half Marathon.
"We are excited to unveil the new Aramco Houston Half Marathon race logo
today" said Steven Karpas, Managing Director of Business Development &
Marketing. "Unveiled in conjunction with National Running Day, the logo is
designed to convey the spirit and energy of running and to be a tribute to
all of the runners who have participated in the race over Aramco's 12 years
of sponsorship."

National Running Day and Open Registration Information
Open registration for the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half
Marathon and ABB 5K launched at 7:00 a.m. CT this morning. The 2016 Race
Weekend features a field-size increase to 27,000 runners for the marathon
and half marathon, while the 5K will have a field of 6,000. This will be
the highest number of registrants in the 44-year history of the Chevron
Houston Marathon Race Weekend which will take place January 15-17, 2016.
To celebrate National Running Day, the HMC is hosting a social media photo
contest encouraging runners to share photos from their run on the Chevron
Houston Marathon's Facebook page under the official National Running Day
post, with the potential to win prizes.
