Universal Sports Network to Air National Coverage of
2015 ASICS LA Marathon on Sunday, March 15
American Marathon Record Holder and Two-time Olympian
Ryan Hall Leads Elite Field
30th Anniversary of Los Angeles' Premier Endurance Event Also Serves as
2015 USA Track & Field Marathon Championships
LOS ANGELES (March 4, 2015) - Universal Sports Network, the year-round
destination for Olympic, endurance and action sports, will air the 2015
ASICS LA Marathon next Sunday, March 14, at 3 p.m. ET. The network's
national TV coverage will showcase the 26.2-mile race which features 25,000
runners traversing the "Stadium to the Sea" course from Dodger Stadium to
the Pacific Ocean.
The 30th edition of the ASICS LA Marathon will also serve as the 2015 USA
Track & Field Marathon Championships, and will feature a robust line-up of
61 American elites vying for a national title. Many of those Americans
competing in the 2015 USATF Marathon Championships will gain experience in
Los Angeles before returning to the city for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials
Marathon for the Rio Summer Games on February 13, 2016.
Highlighting the largest-ever men's and women's professional field in the
history of the 2015 ASICS LA Marathon are husband and wife distance runners
Ryan and Sara Hall. Ryan Hall, a two-time Olympian and American record
holder in the marathon with a time of 2:04:58, last competed at the 2014
Boston Marathon where he finished in 20th place. Sarah Hall was the 2012
U.S. Cross Country Champion and will be making her marathon debut.
