2025 TCS London Marathon ballot results announced on Wednesday 26 June
The world record-breaking 840,318 people who entered the ballot to
participate in the 2025 TCS London Marathon will discover their result
tomorrow (Wednesday 26 June).
For the first time in history, more than three quarters of a million people
applied to take part in a marathon, with applicants from the UK and across
the globe entering the 2025 TCS London Marathon ballot.
The previous world record total of 578,374 applications was set in 2023 by
applicants for the 2024 TCS London Marathon.
Those who have been successful will be able to start planning to take on
the iconic TCS London Marathon course, from Greenwich to Westminster, on
Sunday 27 April 2025, which will be the 45th edition of the event.
Hugh Brasher, Event Director of the TCS London Marathon, said: "This year's
TCS London Marathon was a truly inspiring day and we are incredibly proud
that 840,318 people applied to join us next year as we celebrate the 45th
London Marathon. There's a record number of people anxiously awaiting
tomorrow's results and we wish everyone the very best of luck.
"For those who are successful, your journey to the 2025 TCS London Marathon
begins tomorrow. With 10 months to go until Marathon Day, you have plenty
of time to prepare and a great start would be the 2024 Vitality London
10,000 on Sunday 22 September, which, just like the TCS London Marathon,
finishes in front of Buckingham Palace, and offers runners of all abilities
the chance to get to know the roads of the capital before next April.
"If you did not get the result you wanted, there are still plenty of ways
you can be part of the historic 45th edition of the London Marathon by
applying for a place to take part for one of the incredible charities with
places in the event or by taking part in the TCS London Marathon #MyWay,
which allows you to complete the marathon distance anywhere in the world on
27 April."
Many charities have entries for the 2025 TCS London Marathon, including the
2025 TCS London Marathon Charity of the Year Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Charities allocate their places to people who commit to raising funds for

The 2025 TCS London Marathon #MyWay gives participants the chance to take
part in the TCS London Marathon in their own way, on a course of their
choice, anywhere in the world. Participants have 24 hours to complete the
26.2 miles, between 00:00 and 23:59:59 BST on Sunday 27 April.
Entries for the 2024 Vitality London 10,000, taking place on Sunday 22
September, are available here.
TCS London Marathon's official training app partner Coopah can support
participants journey to the Start Line in April.

The TCS London Marathon ballot draw is completely random, just like the
National Lottery. Successful applicants will be encouraged to set up their
own bespoke fundraising page through Enthuse, the Official Fundraising
Partner of London Marathon Events.
