MCM to Host Running Clinics with Olympian Jeff Galloway in DC, Virginia
Renowned Trainer to Offer Training Tips for 40th Marine Corps Marathon
Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) runners and the public can enjoy a special
opportunity to hear from Olympian and famed marathon trainer Jeff Galloway
during two separate running clinics hosted free of charge this week in
Washington, DC and Quantico, VA.
Galloway will join MCM Director Rick Nealis during both sessions, with the
first to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at the U.S. Navy Memorial.
Jeff will talk about the 40th MCM and the Marathon course that begins in
Arlington, VA and runs throughout the nation's capital, while providing
training tips vital to a successful marathon finish. The U.S. Navy Memorial
is located at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC, and is accessible
via the Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter Metro station.
A second session will be hosted by the MCM starting at 10:30 a.m. on
Thursday, May 28 in Marine Corps Base Quantico's Little Hall Theater,
located at 2034 Barnett Avenue in Quantico, VA.
Galloway's Run-Walk-Run method is well regarded among long distance
runners, as his innovative training methods have opened up marathon running
to all types of athletes, including first-time marathoners. Also an
inspirational speaker, Galloway maintains a captive audience via the social
networks and his running presentations.
MCM runners can look forward to joining Jeff Galloway this October during
the 40th MCM Weekend from Oct. 23-25.
About the MCM: The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is voted "Best Marathon in
