Track A Runner Service Now Available for 39th Marine Corps Marathon

QUANTICO, VA (Oct. 9, 2014) - The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is opening
registration free of charge for the Track A Runner service that enables
runners and their supporters to obtain instant updates of any participant's
progress along the Marathon course. Track a Runner from the Arlington, VA
start through the nation's capital and to the finish at the Marine Corps
War Memorial. Register now to chart a MCM participant at
www.marinemarathon.com.
Relatives, friends and supporters of MCM participants can register to track
their runner over the 10K, 20K, 30K and 40K splits and across the MCM
finish line. Each runner's timing data may be delivered over email or text.
Individual split time updates are presented by MCM partners Aetna,
Arlington County and Hyundai.
Additionally, MCM runners also can serve as their own news source while
announcing their progress along the Marathon course. Through Track A
Runner, MCM participants will receive automatic postings of their timing on
their Facebook timeline or Twitter feed.
MCM10K runners also can be tracked through this service as the
participant's finish time will appear instantly over email or text.
