 Marine Corps Marathon Offers 2016 VIP Packages to Gaylord National Resort
 
VIP packages include entry into 41st MCM prior to lottery opening in March

QUANTICO, VA (Jan. 7, 2016) – The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is for the 
first time offering VIP packages that include guaranteed access to the 
October Marathon and weekend stay at the Gaylord National Resort and 
Convention Center, the MCM's new headquarters hotel. The VIP packages are 
available prior to the MCM Lottery opening to the public on March 24.

In October 2016, MCM VIPs will receive guaranteed entry to the 41st MCM 
with option for a second entry to the MCM or MCM10K; two nights at the 
Gaylord National Resort located at the National Harbor and free access to 
MCM Weekend events. These events include the Carbo Dining In pasta dinner 
with private pre-event reception and the MCM Runners bRUNch, featuring a 
catered brunch, guest speaker and 5K run.

Additional MCM VIP amenities include a Fast Pass for Packet Pick-up at the 
Health & Fitness Expo on Oct. 28 and 29, exclusive shuttle service to the 
MCM start and access to the VIP tent at Runners Village on Marathon 
morning, Sunday, Oct. 30. The Expo will be held inside the Gaylord Resort, 
with greater ease for MCM participants staying at the MCM headquarters 
hotel.

The MCM VIP packages are $1,500. Many packages have already been purchased.

For those not participating in the VIP Registration program, reservations 
for the new headquarters hotel will be available through the MCM website 
beginning in February. Lottery registration for the 41st MCM will be open 
to the public from March 24 through March 30 at www.marinemarathon.com.

The 41st MCM will start on Route 110 in Arlington and run throughout the 
nation's capital.

Voted the "Best Marathon in the Mid Atlantic" and "Best Marathon for 
Spectators," the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) honors the dedication, 
sportsmanship and patriotism of its participants. Also known as "The 
People's Marathon," runners from all walks of life participate in the MCM, 
the largest marathon not to offer prize money. The 41st MCM will be held in 
Arlington, VA and throughout the nation's capital on Oct. 30. No federal or
