          2020 Marine Corps Marathon Charity Partners Revealed

  Lottery Closed; Remaining Entries Available through Charity Partners

QUANTICO, VA (April 1, 2020) - Thousands of motivated runners found out 
earlier today if they received an entry to the 45th Marine Corps Marathon 
(MCM) on Sunday, October 25 in Arlington, Virginia and the nation's 
capital. Runners who were accepted via the Lottery were notified through 
email.

The MCM Lottery accepted runners from all 50 states, Washington D.C. and 55 
countries. The top states to register outside the National Capital Region 
were North Carolina, Florida, New York and Pennsylvania.

Runners who didn't receive an entry through the Lottery can still 
#RunWithTheMarines at "The People's Marathon" through one of the 69 
official MCM Charity partners with causes ranging from medical research and 
military support to education and social justice. This is a great way for 
runners to participate in the MCM while raising funds and awareness for a 
cause of their choice.

To celebrate 45 years of running with the Marines and the 75th anniversary 
of the Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945, this year's MCM finisher's medal will 
feature volcanic ash from the island of Iwo Jima.

Runners can still gain access to the MCM through the all-inclusive MCM Four 
Star registration, which includes a hotel room, event entries, hospitality 
and shuttle transportation. Registration for the MCM10K and Kids Run opens 
April 13.
