    Last Chance to Register for the 47th Marine Corps Marathon and MCM50K

           Several important deadlines approaching for MCM Weekend       

QUANTICO, VA (August 31, 2022) - The Marine Corps Marathon Organization 
(MCMO) announced today that live and virtual registration for the 47th 
Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and the MCM50K will officially close on 
September 7.

The transfer program for the marathon and ultra will also close on 
September 7. This includes:

    Runner to runner bib transfer
    Live to virtual transfer
    MCM to MCM50K or MCM50K to MCM

Participants who are unable to pick up their bib at the Health and Fitness 
Expo on October 28 and 29, and do not have a proxy to pick up in their 
place, will need to purchase the bib mail out option also by September 7 as 
there is no event morning bib issue. This option will allow runners to 
receive their bib and event shirt prior to MCM Weekend through the mail. 
Bib mail out can be purchased through a participant's registration account.

The last date for MCM and MCM50K deferments is September 25. The fee to 
defer to 2023 is $80.

The 47th MCM, MCM50K and MCM10K will run live and in-person on Sunday, 
October 30 as part of the 2022 MCM Weekend. The MCM is open to ages 14 and 
up and costs $200, while the MCM50K is $220 for ages 18 and up. More 
entries for the MCM became available following current deferments and 
unused sponsor bibs.

Registration and transfers for the MCM10K will remain open. The MCM10K is 
$65 for ages 7 and up.

Both live and virtual participants will receive a long sleeve technical 
shirt, stunning medal and more.
