18,000 Runners Expected for 2024 Life Time Miami Marathon
Iconic event headlines weekend of activities, including Tropical 5K,
Diaper Derby, Kids Run Miami, Life Time Pickleball and Nikki Beach Clean Up
MIAMI, January 17, 2024 - Eighteen thousand runners are set to take to the
streets of Downtown Miami, Miami Beach and Coconut Grove on January 28 as
they participate in the renowned 2024 Life Time Miami Marathon and Half
presented by Free People Movement. The sold-out event will host
participants from 49 states and 75 countries.
In addition to the Marathon and Half, the January 26-28 weekend of
activities includes:
- Diaper Derby on Friday, January 26 at the Life Time Expo (Miami Beach
Convention Center) for the littlest runners in training.
- Nikki Beach cleanup collaboration between the non-profit
Life Time Foundation and Clean Miami Beach following the Life Time
Tropical 5K finish on January 27.
- Miami-Dade County school students will complete the final mile of their
15-week-long marathon program alongside thousands of Marathon and Half
participants. The program, funded by the Life Time Foundation, encourages
healthy, active lifestyles by encouraging students to run 25.2 miles over
15 weeks leading up to the Marathon.
- Life Time Pickleball activation at the Finish Line Festival inside
Bayfront Park featuring a pro exhibition, demonstrations, kids clinic and
fun competition among the mascots of South Florida sports teams. Life
Time offers more pickleball courts than any other operator with 700
courts nationwide, including at its The Falls, Boca Raton and Palm Beach
Gardens clubs in South Florida.
"We are truly excited for this Life Time weekend takeover," said Frankie
Ruiz, co-founder of the Miami Marathon and Chief Running Officer at Life
Time. "Once again this year, we’re proud to showcase the best of Miami
through all our unique and iconic events and activities."
In addition to the Nikki Beach clean-up, the Life Time Foundation is
presenting a $50,000 grant to The Education Fund to support the Food
Forests for Schools Program. The program leverages gardens and Food Forests
as outdoor learning laboratories in Miami-Dade County's public elementary
schools to inspire children to eat nutritious food and care for the
environment.

wellness brands at Miami Beach Convention Center Jan. 26-27, 2024.
- Diaper Derby: Friday, Jan. 26, 2:00 p.m. at the Miami Famous Expo
- Life Time Tropical 5K: Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, 7:30 a.m. Watson Island
- Nikki Beach clean-up: Saturday, Jan. 27, following the Tropical 5K finish
- Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Marathon: Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, 6 a.m.
- Life Time Pickleball: Sunday, Jan. 28, 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mascot
competition at 9:50 a.m.
- Kids Run Miami final mile: Sunday, Jan. 28 11 a.m.
- Kids Mile: Sunday, Jan. 28, 11 a.m.
