at the Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon
Dallas, TX (November, 14, 2013) – The National Black Marathoners'
Association (NBMA) announced today its International Summit will be held at
the 2015 Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K on June 28,
2015in Moshi, Tanzania. The NBMA is the USA's oldest and largest
not-for-profit organization that supports Black American 5K through

scholarships to deserving, college-bound high school boy and girl distance
runners.
"We have heard great things about this event." said NBMA's Executive
Director and seven continents marathon finisher, Tony Reed. "Many of our
members are trying to complete marathons or half marathons on all seven
continents. Other members have always wanted to visit Africa with an
energetic, adventurous group of like-minded people. This gives them an
opportunity to go for a run from 10K to a marathon, go on a bicycle tour,
be in a safari, and/or climb Africa's tallest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro."
NBMA participants will be wearing red or lime green jerseys shirts and
black shorts or pants to symbolize their membership during the race. The
organization has members in 43 states and five countries.
