Competitor Running Welcomes Jonathan Beverly as Editor-in-Chief
Lauded running journalist to lead America's #1

Boulder, Colorado, USA - March 5, 2019 - Jonathan Beverly is the real deal!
After serving successfully as the Guest Editor of Competitor Running's
February editorial, Beverly has been hired as the brand's new
Editor-in-Chief. Beverly will lead America's #1 performance running media
brand into its exciting digital future.

Beverly is former Editor-in-Chief of the popular Running Times magazine and
website, which focused on training, racing, news, injury prevention, and
gear reviews for performance-oriented runners. Beverly will revitalize
Competitor Running with a renewed focus on reader service journalism that
will help runners realized their full potential as athletes. He will be
based in Boulder, Colorado within a few months.
Beverly draws on decades of experience in the sport and the industry. As
editor, he wrote 150 columns, more than 35 feature stories and numerous
training articles, athlete profiles, race reports, and shoe and gear
reviews. He is author of two recent books, Your Best Stride and Run Strong,
Stay Hungry. Beverly's recent work has appeared in Competitor, Runner's
World, Outside, V02Run, Fitbit.com and Running Insight. In 2006, Beverly
received the Journalistic Excellence Award from the Road Runners Club of
America.
