New Look, New Name, New Course, Same Tradition
ServisFirst Bank and Mobile Sports Authority Partner With L'arche Mobile
for The 13th Annual First Light Marathon
Mobile, AL - L'Arche Mobile announces a 3-year partnership with ServisFirst
Bank as the title sponsor of the First Light Marathon held annually in
January. The Mobile Sports Authority will by the presenting sponsor of the
event. Over the past 12 years, this event has had over 19,000 participants,
5,800 volunteers, with visitors from all 50 states and 15 different
countries. The new name of the event is ServisFirst Bank First Light
Marathon presented by Mobile Sports Authority.

Marathon', an annual fundraiser for L'Arche Mobile," states Bibb Lamar,
President and CEO of ServisFirst Bank. "L'Arche provides a community in
which members with diverse backgrounds and intellectual disabilities share

including, family and friends can participate at some level, from the
marathon to the relay or even walking the 1.2-mile fun run. It is an
opportunity to raise funds for L'Arche, get in shape and spend quality time
with your family, friends and your community."

marathon event held in Mobile on an annual basis. The MSA is tasked with
attracting and/or hosting sports events in Mobile and Mobile County and the
First Light Marathon is one of those events, which we feel has a lot of

Sports Authority.
This year the full and the half marathon courses have been changed and
certified. Feedback from participants, volunteers, course officials, and
spectators led to the charges. "The new courses will eliminate the need for
participants to cross railroad tracks, reduce the use of Spring Hill
Avenue, and should generally reduce safety concerns for participants and
inconvenience to drivers sharing the streets with participants," observed
Peggy Olive of Little Red Hen Productions.
"This is a great opportunity for L'Arche Mobile, ServisFirst Bank and the
Mobile Sports Authority to promote fitness in the city of Mobile, as well
as the mission and identity of L'Arche Mobile. In addition, it provides the
city with a quality event that welcomes new visitors," states Sally
Partridge, President of the Board of Directors of L'Arche Mobile. "We are
very grateful for the work of the dedicated members of the core committee
who uphold the values of L'Arche as well as putting together a first class
event."
L'Arche Mobile is a Christian community where people with and without
intellectual disabilities share life together. L'Arche Mobile will be
celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2014.
This annual event consists of a Marathon, Half Marathon and 1.2-mile fun
run, as well as a 5-person relay. This year a relay team will be chosen to
win the inaugural spirit award. The next ServisFirst Bank First Light
Marathon presented by Mobile Sports Authority is scheduled for January 12,
2014.
