TCM Executive Director Returns after Serving as Organization's President
St. Paul, Minn. – July 6, 2015 – Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director
Virginia Brophy Achman returns to the Running USA Board of Directors, an
organization she led as Board President from 2009 to 2012. She is one of
eight members recently elected to the board of the national nonprofit trade
organization for running events and businesses.
Brophy Achman, who has led Twin Cities in Motion since 2000, is nationally
respected for her expertise in finance, race operations, community events,
and sponsorship negotiation. She was also part of the planning committee
for the first National Marathon Safety and Security Summit held last year.
Twin Cities In Motion's events she leads, which include the Medtronic Twin
Cities Marathon and tomorrow's Red, White & Boom! TC Half Marathon and
Relay, provide running opportunities for more than 40,000 runners of all
ages annually.
"It's an honor to return to the Running USA board," Brophy Achman said.
"Running USA plays a vital role in the development of distance running in
the country, bringing together a wide array of individuals and
organizations to share information and determine best practices for the
sport of running. I can't wait to return to the board to share ideas and
continue to elevate the sport and grow its potential."

"We are excited to begin working with our newest board members and
