Brooks Running Company Offers Free Shoes at Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon
Fast Split Times for Mile 22 Will Win Runners Brooks Levitates with DNA AMP
St. Paul, Minn. - September 20, 2017 - Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon
partner Brooks Running Company will celebrate the launch of its new shoe -
the Brooks Levitate with DNA AMP - with a unique incentive at the Medtronic
Twin Cities Marathon on October 1.
During the race, Brooks will reward runners with an Infinite Energy Mile
between mile marker 21 to 22, often considered the toughest portion of a
marathon. Any runner whose split time from mile marker 21 to 22 is faster
than their average pace from the start of the race to mile 21 will receive
a brand new pair of Brooks Levitates. Every registered marathon runner who
starts and finishes the race is automatically entered to win. (Terms &
conditions.)
The Brooks Levitate with DNA AMP will be available beginning September 30
and provides the most energy return of leading performance running shoes.
The shoe features the company's exclusive DNA AMP midsole technology which
releases energy straight back to the runner, an integrated Fit Knit upper
that comfortably accommodates a runner's foot as it moves and expands and a
flexible, arrow-point pattern on the outsole to help runners move quickly
from heel to toe, without losing energy.
For spectators at the race, Brooks will host the "Most Energized Cheer
Station" on Summit Ave (between Cleveland Ave. and Wilder St.) to encourage
runners during the Infinite Energy Mile. Brooks will provide cheer supplies
for the first 500 fans who check in, as well as music, snacks/coffee and
hourly raffles.
