Registration Opens Tuesday for 2023 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon
Weekend of Fitness Events Runs from September 29 to October 1
St. Paul, Minn. - March 6, 2023 - Registration for this fall's Medtronic
Twin Cities Marathon will open to the public tomorrow, Tuesday, March 7, at
10 a.m. CST. The 26.2-mile race dubbed the Most Beautiful Urban Marathon in
America® will run from downtown Minneapolis to the State Capitol grounds in
St. Paul on Sunday, October 1.
Registration for the marathon will be conducted online through the Twin
Cities In Motion website, tcmevents.org. Registration will also open for
the following Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend events:
- Medtronic TC Family Events
- TC 5K, presented by Fredrikson
- TC 10K, presented by Dermatology Consultants
Those events will take place at the State Capitol grounds on Saturday,
September 30.
Registration will also open for the TC Loony and TC Ultra Loony Challenges
- where runners participate in the TC 5K and TC 10K prior to running either
the Medtronic TC 10 Mile or marathon the following day
The registration drawing for the 25th Anniversary Medtronic TC 10 Mile to
be held on October 1 with the marathon opens June 12.
"We're excited to open 2023 registration and honored to be the stewards of
this important community event," Twin Cities In Motion President Dean Orton
said. "Entering our fifth decade, we're planning to build on the event's
core traditions and continuing to enhance the experience for everyone
involved - participants, fans, volunteers, partners - in this important
community event."
The event will offer:
- It's Renowned Spectator Support, including the Diane & Alan Page
Community Cheer Challenge.
- Added Inspiration and Beauty, the Minnesota art community will create
live art experiences throughout the weekend and along the course and at the
finish line.
- Greater Community Impact, with a goal to help raise a record $1.4M for
over 40 non-profits through the event's Charity Program.
- Live Race-Day Coverage, live start-to-finish race-day streaming in
partnership with KARE 11.
- Support for Record Level of Youth Runners, welcoming thousands of youth
18 and under via TCM's TC Kids Run Free program.
Twin Cities In Motion expects more than 25,000 runners to participate in
the 2023 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend, including a sell-out field
of 8,500 runners in the marathon and more than 11,000 10-mile runners. For
