Press Release - Twin Cities Marathon - 10/5/14

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Releases Preliminary Medical Report

St. Paul, Minn. - October 5, 2014 - Event organizers of the Medtronic Twin
Cities Marathon have collected an initial set of data about the health and
safety of its runners. Medical personnel at aid stations throughout the
course have communicated to the Acting Medical Director of the Medtronic
Twin Cities Marathon information about the runners they treated during the
33rd annual running of the race.

Approximately 90 runners were treated in the Medical Tent, located at the
finish line. Five runners from the race were transported to medical
facilities. Of the five, one was critical, involving a collapse on the
course attended to by the event's volunteer Bike Patrol first responders.

Event organizer Twin Cities In Motion stresses that due to the size of the
course and number of runners participating in the race, the official
post-race report will not be completed until October 7, 2014. This report
pertains only to runners who were treated at the marathon's 14 official aid
stations or by the race's medical personnel. It does not include runners
who sought medical attention on their own.
