2014 Boston Marathon Official Schedule of Events
The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.), organizer of the Boston
Marathon®, has issued its Schedule of Events for official participants.
FRIDAY, APRIL 18

The 37th annual John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo features more than 200
exhibitors and is widely regarded as the running industry’s premier
showcase for new products, services and events. Complimentary admission

An estimated 10,000 participants will take part in the sixth annual B.A.A.
5K from Boston Common. The race course will pass over the Boston Marathon
Finish Line. This will be the largest B.A.A. 5K in event history.
Registration is closed.
B.A.A. Invitational Miles
Boylston Street, Copley Square, Boston
11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The Invitational Mile features some of the top professional and scholastic
milers. The high-school athletes represent the eight host cities and towns
of the Boston Marathon.
B.A.A. Relay Challenge
Boylston Street, Copley Square, Boston
1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
More than 20 schools from around Greater Boston will convene for the 18th
consecutive year for the B.A.A. Relay Challenge. This event is presented by
the B.A.A. in partnership with adidas and the City of Boston. More than
17,000 Boston-area youths have participated in the B.A.A. Relay Challenge
since its inception in 1997.

All official participants are invited to celebrate their accomplishment
with family and friends at the Fenway Park Open House. Experience America's
most beloved ballpark and relax before the Official Post-Race Party at
Boston's House of Blues next door.
Boston Marathon Mile 27: The Official Post-Race Party, presented by Samuel
Adams will feature a range of Samuel Adams products, including the official
beer of the Boston Marathon, 26.2 Boston Brew, on tap. Complimentary light
dinner fare will be available while supplies last, a re-broadcast of the
day's race will air on large screens, and the day's winners and top
finishers will be presented to the crowds.

The race will be televised live in its entirety locally on WBZ-TV (Channel
4), and the station will also be streaming live race coverage throughout
New England on CBSBoston.com. The race will be broadcast nationally on
Universal Sports, and online at UniversalSports.com.
