Coach Jenny Hadfield to Bring Renowned Training to
Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon Runners
Live video chats and custom Facebook responses included in partnership
CLEVELAND (Dec. 22, 2010) - Coach Jenny Hadfield, professional trainer and
motivational speaker, is partnering with the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon to
bring her distinctive training programs for runners to the participants in
the 34th annual event on May 15, 2011.
"It's important to us that we offer unique and valuable experiences for our
participants," said Executive Director of the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon,
Jack Staph. "Coach Jenny is an amazing coach and trainer. I'm sure our
runners will benefit greatly from her teachings, and will enjoy the
interaction they will have with her directly."
Beginning Jan. 18, 2011, Hadfield will offer a series of online training
programs for various levels exclusively to the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon
running community. The programs will be available at
www.clevelandmarathon.com and on Cleveland Marathon's Facebook page,
www.facebook.com/ClevelandMarathon.
Hadfield will run an Ask Coach Jenny question and answer forum where users
can ask training and running-related questions and receive personalized
responses. Hadfield will also host two live video chats online where she'll
share her tips and answer participants' questions as they ask them.
"Millions of people are finding health, strength and power through
running," said Hadfield. "I want to do whatever I can to help and encourage
them along the way. The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is an exceptional race
and offers a number of opportunities for participants due to the diverse
event distances. Runners can choose a 5K, 10K, half or full marathon - all
races in which I have a program developed."
Hadfield's coaching style was developed through her own personal struggles
to become a top-ranked endurance athlete. She has run many races and
received numerous honors, including third place division in The North Face
Challenge 50K Ultra Marathon, 11th overall female in the GORE-TEX
TransRockies Run 3 and first place division in the XTERRA Torn Shirt
Duatholon.
Hadfield is the co-author of three books geared toward the running
community, Marathoning for Mortals, Running for Mortals and Training for
Mortals. In addition to being a published author, Hadfield is a featured
columnist for many respected publications, including Women's Running
Magazine, RunnersWorld.com and the Chicago Tribune.
She will be a featured speaker during the Cleveland Marathon's annual
Health and Fitness Expo. The expo is open to public and will be held May 13
and 14 at the Great Lakes Expo Center.
Hadfield and husband John "The Penguin" Bingham, a widely popular runner in
his own right, have developed training programs for marathon, half
marathon, 10K and 5K runners. They also have training programs dedicated to
walkers and recovery.
The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon offers the following opportunities for
people to participate in the event: full marathon, half marathon, 10K, full
marathon walking division, half marathon walking division, 10K walking
division, 5K (run or walk) and Kids' Run. The events take place May 14 and
15, 2011. To register for any of the events, or learn more, visit
