           GB LEIGHTON TO HEADLINE GRANDMA'S, ENTER HALL OF FAME
               Big Top Tent Entertainment Begins Friday Night

(Duluth, Minn.) Come for the race, stay for the party. Just make sure to be 
in the Big Top Tent during Grandma's Marathon for the weekend's best live 
entertainment.

Longtime marathon tradition GB Leighton, a 2011 Grandma's Marathon Hall of 
Fame inductee, returns to the Big Top Tent and will headline three separate 
sets, beginning Friday, June 17.

GB Leighton is making their 15th appearance at Grandma's Marathon, having 
made their debut in 1996. "Bringing GB Leighton to this event is a Big Top 
Tent tradition and we are glad they are back to entertain our runners and 
fans. We are excited about the great mix of live bands for this year's 
celebration," says Scott Keenan, executive director of Grandma's Marathon.

Also performing throughout the weekend is Alison Scott, who opens the 
weekend's entertainment Friday at 8 p.m. Scott, of Minneapolis, has 
previous performed at Duluth's Bayfront Blues Festival. The Irresistibles 
featuring Mick Sterling, are also appearing on the Grandma's Marathon 
stage.

A daytime lineup Saturday features a free show open to the public and 
includes opening act Mynx at 11:30 a.m. The Friday and Saturday evening 
shows are for those 21 years of age and older.
