Press Release - Grandma's Marathon - 3/26/14

                  Grandma's Marathon 2014 Registration
         Price Increase of $15 Approaching for Marathon Entries 

(Duluth, Minn.) Runners registering for the 38th Grandma's Marathon field 
have through Monday to enter the race at a reduced cost. On April 1, the 
current entry fee of $95 increases to $110, where it will remain until 
registration closes on May 31. (Complete fee structure below).

Visit www.GrandmasMarathon.com to register for the Two Harbors-to-Duluth 
race – currently the 16th largest marathon in the U.S. – which is set for 
Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 7:45 a.m. The 26.2-mile race is limited to the 
first 10,000 participants. Nearly 6,200 have already registered – about 600 
more than at this time a year ago.

2014 Grandma's Marathon Entry Fee Structure
$95 - February 1 to March 31
$110 - April 1 to May 31

Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon / William A. Irvin 5K
Registration for the 2014 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon – Saturday, June 21 
at 6:15 a.m. – was conducted last month via a lottery process in which 
6,700 participants were randomly selected.

Entries still may be secured through one of the race's four charity 
partners. More information on these programs can be found at 
www.GrandmasMarathon.com or by calling the Grandma's Marathon office (218) 
727-0947. Drawings for complimentary half-marathon entries are also being 
held locally through March 31 at participating Little Store locations:

The 2014 Grandma's Marathon weekend also features the William A. Irvin 5K, 
scheduled for Friday, June 20 at 6 p.m. Registration for that race began 
March 13, and has more than 1,100 entered of the allotted 2,000.
