Phil Vassar to headline 2019 Grandma's Marathon
Early bird tickets to Rock the Big Top Tent
at Grandma's Marathon go on sale April 4
Duluth, Minn. - Come for the race, stay for the party and "Rock The Big
Top" on marathon weekend! All the bands in this year's lineup were selected
for the energy they bring to their live performances! Grandma's Marathon is
excited to present Phil Vassar as the headliner for Big Top Tent with
supporting artists Everette and Rhino as part of the entertainment line-up
for Friday, June 21. Advance early bird tickets go on sale starting
Thursday, April 4th at 10 a.m.
Phil Vassar is one of a handful of musicians to have multiple hits as a
songwriter and as an artist. He has 10 Number 1 hits, 15 Top 10 hits, and
26 Top 40 hits. His top songs include Just Another Day in Paradise,
Carlene, Six-Pack Summer, American Child, For a Little While and My Next
Thirty Years (Tim McGraw), Right on the Money (Alan Jackson), I'm All Right
& Bye, Bye (Jo Dee Messina) and many more! His ninth album is titled
American Soul.
Friday evening will kick-off with Everette's brand of country music that is
filled with swampy harmonicas and bluesy guitar licks mixed with a knack
for melodic hooks. Everette brings a load of talent to the Big Top stage as
one of the most fun and promising new names in country rock!
Rhino will conclude the evening with their style of modern, alternative,
80's, and classic rock with twists of country and other surprises added in.
Rhino is a five member, high energy Twin Cities band that will provide
nonstop entertainment and fun!
The party picks up again at "Rock the Big Top" on Saturday, June 22nd
featuring an energetic lineup that is sure to satisfy all music tastes.
Artists performing include Rock-A-Billy Revue, a band that will play a
great variety of music from the timeless hits of the 50's, 60's, 70's and
80's along with hit kicking country music rolled into a fun dance party.
The energetic Laura Velvet and The Bookhouse Boys will feature a unique
blend of fresh, young vocal talent and versatile, experienced musicians.
Saturday afternoon will continue with Chris Kroeze, runner-up on the last
season of NBC's "The Voice". He is a singer and songwriter that connects
with both the hearts and minds of audiences across various generations
through his genuine country soul and his unique and alluring vocal delivery
as he performs.
Saturday evening will open with Laura Velvet and The Bookhouse Boys,
followed by Kroeze, and conclude with headliner Cowboy Mouth as they offer
up a raucous, redemptive, live music experience that includes a combination
of a unique style of rock & roll and a rowdy spirit in their raw and
engaging performance style!
Early bird advance tickets go on sale starting Thursday, April 4 at 10 a.m.
for only $10 for Friday night; $10 for Saturday night at
www.grandmasmarathon.com. A weekend ticket package for both nights is
available at the discounted price of $15 only during the month of April.
