Runner comments from MarthonGuide.com
"This was a fantastic race. Only 200 entrants, low key, no fan fare. If you
want lots of distractions during a race, this one isn't for you. If you
want beautiful scenery, a fast course, a low entry fee, great amenities
(warm building with real bathrooms and hot showers both before and after
the race), a huge post race buffet, and the chance to see a beautiful
waterfront part of the country, this race is for you. The spectators that
do come out make themselves heard, but to be honest on the part of the
course where there were the fewest spectators (the first half) I frankly
didn't want anyone cheering or doing anything that would affect the
tranquility of the dramatic sunrise over the waterways", stated T.P. from
Virginia (2013).
The Chesapeake Bay Running Club displays that small marathon atmosphere
which gives the runner the opportunity to concentrate on running and having
the support required to make it an easy run. You get the winner treatment
for just crossing the finish line. Special thanks to Harry Lundeberg School
of Seamanship, St. Mary's County Recreation and Parks and our sponsors,
Michelob Ultra, 42 Lines, and others.
Hope to see you on the start line. Full race details: http://www.cbrcmd.org/
