WASHINGTON DC MARATHON ORGANIZERS SET THEIR SIGHTS ON MIAMI
Washington, DC - H2O Entertainment Group, Inc., the Washington DC metro
based special events and sports entertainment company, announced today
their intentions to stage a Miami marathon. The company, which owns and
operates the Washington DC Marathon, is currently engaged in the
permitting process with various local jurisdictions and governments in
the Miami area. Tentative times for the marathon are early December 2003,
or January 2004.
The Washington DC Marathon established a name for H2O Entertainment Group
in the marathon arena. The marathon, which debuted on March 24, 2002, was
not only hugely successful but was one of the largest debut marathons in
the country.
With the same energy and spirit that organizers brought to the Washington
DC Marathon, they are now tackling Miami. "We view Miami as a special and
unique market, that deserves its own first-class, self-titled marathon and
we look forward to re-establishing a signature event for this city just as
was accomplished in Washington DC," remarks John Stanley, President of H2O
Entertainment Group.
"While H2O Entertainment Group is still dedicated to the Washington DC
Marathon," adds Stanley, "we look forward to a new marathon in the city of
Miami." As with the Washington DC Marathon, organizers will focus on local
Miami-based running groups, communities and government branches to
solidify and guarantee the success of the Miami Marathon. For information
