            Manna Food Pantries Joins Forces with Pensacola 
            Marathon TO Develop Mission-Within-the-Marathon

 
PENSACOLA, Fla. –MANNA-thon team members will be pounding the pavement at 
the second annual Pensacola Marathon Feb. 19 to feed not only their own 
sense of accomplishment, but to feed the hungry as well. Developed by Manna 
Food Pantries, MANNA-thon gives local residents an opportunity to raise 
money for the organization while participating in a full or half marathon.

MANNA-thon registrations are $20 and include a yellow MANNA-thon team 
member shirt. All proceeds will help provide food for the hungry in 
Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. 

MANNA-thon representatives will also be available during the race expo, 
Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Downtown YMCA, to answer questions about Manna 
Food Pantries and about becoming a MANNA-thon team member.  

Only those registered for the Pensacola full or half marathon can run with 
the MANNA-thon team, however, you can still participate in the program for 
the $20 fee. MANNA-thon applications are available at Running Wild, 106 S. 
Palafox Place, downtown Pensacola or by contacting Bobbie Mistretta at 
(850) 479-9927.

The Pensacola Marathon, scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. in downtown 
Pensacola, will host both runners from around the country and runners from 
Pensacola as they compete along the 26.2 mile USATF (FL-05041DL) certified 
marathon course, designed specifically to highlight the beauty of 
Pensacola.
