"A favorite!" (General Comments)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 I loved this marathon. Because this is an out and back marathon, the lack of spectators wasn't too much of a problem. There was plenty of encouragement from other runners as we passed each other. It was a wonderfully flat course along the water. We spent a couple of days in Newport and had a fantastic overall experience. Only complaint was that the organizers highly advertised the post race awards/draw prizes. It was so crowded in the tiny room where it was held that we had to leave. Everyone shows up for the draw prizes! | |

"My Favorite Marathon." (about: 2001)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 This is my favorite marathon. This one is one I will continue to do as long as I'm running. Flat course, elevation is sea level. Breathing is great. This is a P.R. course. I qualified for 'Boston' on this course. Don't have anything negative to say, other than that the shirts are ugly. | |

"Beautiful and lonely course" (General Comments)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 This is a great course along the ocean for the first few miles and then along the bay for an out and back. No crowds so you have to dig deep the last 5 miles. I found myself alone for miles at a time, which can be good. All in all a great flat course that I will be running again. | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 1 The place is ideal for running, temperature in the Marathon day was rather cold but invigorating, it was a shame it was raining the first half an hour. Just a few spectators all way long was kind of difficult without them. | |
