"Older runners" (about: 2003)
COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 2 It was great, especially the organization, no traffic and a nice weather (just a little bit hot at the end). However a small problem with the mark of the km, especially at the end and I regret there was not a category for those over 50 (I am 54 and we need support at that age).

"Fair for a first attempt" (about: 2003)
COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 3 FANS: 4 It's nice to read the great things that are said about this marathon, but don't let your love of country delude you. This marathon lacked the basic pieces that would make it great. The finish area was a complete disaster, and chaotic to say the least. There was no food or drink. I finished under 4 hours, and at the finish line people didn't know what they were doing. The course was good, albeit hot. Water station were well staffed, but for God's sake, who drinks Red Bull during a marathon?

"Wonderfull" (about: 2003)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I ran the Beirut International Marathon, and I found it's very special, amazing and very cool. I enjoyed every seconds in this marathon, I liked it a lot, and I wish that it will happen again very soon. I want to say thanks to all people that arrange this marathon, and a very big thanks to miss 'Maya Khalil' and especially his excellency the President of the Republic of Lebanon, General Emile Lahoud. Thanks a lot. I'm very proud to be a part of this marathon. Thanks again and good luck.

"Huge feeling when I made it to the finish line" (about: 2003)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 It was my first marathon, and I couldn't believe I made it to the finish line. Spectators kept me going with their cheering. The course is not easy, slopes are hard to cross when you're out of energy. I definitely should brought with me some chocolates for the road. I loved the spirit among runners, we kept cheering and supporting each other. One old man fell down and we all ran to hold him, and applauded his effort to carry on the race. I will do it again.
