COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I have heard how BCS has the best course, spectators and obviously the ratings on this site were all good. I signed up, hoping for a PR. 2014 weather was a little warm and windy, so it did not happen. It's perhaps not so flat as described, but definitely a course where you will see some of your best times. The organization was fantastic. We were communicated to regularly if not daily as the race date approached. I also love the non profit aspect of this race with all the proceeds going to those wonderful causes. I'll be back next year.

"Continues to be the best race in Texas!" (about: 2014)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 A race for runners by runners, the BCS Marathon & Half Marathon does a great job of focusing on the details that a profit-driven race might skimp onlots of port-a-potties, frequent aid stations, interesting routes, and great spectators. This was my third time to run the race, and while I would have wished for cooler temps, the race was fantastic. I encouraged my sister and a friend to drive from out-of-state to run this race for the first time and they were also impressed with the race. Looking forward to running this one as long as my legs will let me!

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 great start line organization. plenty of port-a-potties at the start and along the course. lots of water/gatorade stations. incredibly friendly staff and volunteers. great runner support. over and above excellent finisher's area. wonderful expo before the race and great participant and finisher shirts. also the finisher medal is very high quality. most of all, the actual course is wonderful. a few hills on the full and otherwise a nice 'flat' run. excellent spectator course too!

"It made me want to run another marathon." (about: 2014)
First Marathon
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 After training for months for this race, this was such a rewarding experience all in one day. From start to finish, I felt cared for and encouraged (even on some of the rough stretches). During the run, I thought I would never want to run another marathon, but crossing the finish line made me reconsider. I felt so valued and encouraged as an individual being cheered on all the way to the finish line. And having a little girl with Down syndrome be the one to put the medal around my neck was the icing on the cake that almost brought tears to my eyes.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Everything was really well organized - the mile markings, the aid stations and the volunteers. The spectators were loud and many had signs and costumes. I only wish it was 20 degrees cooler.
