COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This was my first marathon. I can't say enough about how well this was organized. There really isn't anything that I would think that could make it any better. You get all the information you could ever want leading up to the race. The course is mostly flat and beautiful, and the post race is incredible! You could really tell that all of the volunteers cared as well. Loved that!

"BCS Success!" (about: 2013)

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This was my 7 marathon, second BCS. Organization is incredible! I have run in Colorado, louisiana and in Texas, and this is a great one! Course is not that scenic, but it is fairly flat. The post race party is great, and this marathon is small, which i like. The A&M students really help support the runners. I don't see this when running Through the UT campus for Austin or the L.S.U. campus in Louisiana. And I'm a U.T. grad? I hope this race doesn't get too big, but I think a lot of runners who normally did White Rock are 'converted' after being diverted this year. I will definitely be back next year! JSM

"A fantastic race" (about: 2013)

| 1 Bryan/College Station Marathon
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 This year was my first half marathon ever and everything turned out great! - The race directors communicated clearly through email, Facebook and Twitter. - They provided a ton of race swag for a very low cost: participant shirt, finisher shirt, amazing finisher's medal, tons of free food and drink, a foil blanket at the finish and tons of refuel stuff along the way. They even give away pairs of shoes leading up to the race on their Facebook page! They are so generous. I also ran on Team Mercy Project to raise money, and they were generous to us as well! We had a VIP tent and potty, an extra team shirt for race day and a free team dinner the night before. WOW! - The number of restrooms was great (before, during and after the course) - The amount of refuel stations were well-spaced, and the post-race food and drinks were delicious. - The volunteers were fantastic. I especially loved getting a high five from the race director at the finish and a medal from the local down syndrome kids. After I finished, I basically walked down the street and people would come up to me and get me everything I needed! 'Here's your medal, congratulations!' 'Here's your finisher's shirt! Would you like a foil blanket?' 'Here's a gatorade!' 'Here's a bag to put your things in!' 'Here's your food tray!' What service! This year was cold with near freezing temps, but it couldn't have gone better. The only reason I give spectators 4 stars is because a lot of people didn't come out because of the cold weather.... but those that did were so energetic and encouraging, especially through campus. Not only is this race for a good cause (Mercy Project) it's one of the best races you'll run, hands down.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 This race was great! It is my 15th, or so, half marathon and I was very impressed. They had plenty of water and medical aid stations and at mile 9 their spread of 'snacks' was unmatched! This race is very-well organized and the race directors/leaders make sure all runners are informed of race specifics and weather conditions. We stayed at one of the host hotels (Best Western) and found it to be a great location. Overall, the most positive and enjoyable race of its size. :)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This was my first 1/2 marathon and I am so glad this was the race I chose. The organization of the race beginning, middle, and end was great. The cause we are supporting is worth the hard work. It helped that running through the BCS community was fun because of the involvement of the locals.
