COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This isn't a marathon; this is a 26-mile party. The fans are incredible. It's challenging to get into, but I would HIGHLY recommend this marathon. I'm definitely doing it every year, from now on!

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 It was one of the most exciting days of my life. I experienced a lot of emotion while running. I carried the American flag for four and a half miles in the middle of it. I felt honored by all of the people who gave me the respect and honor. Thanks to all who cared.

"Best Marathon. A Must." (General Comments)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I've run NYC twice, Paris once and now Chicago. Sure, the start will give even the most seasoned runner a second of trepidation. But it is worth it. You hit all five boroughs. There are no 'repeat' views. Even with all the convenience Chicago offers, NYC still wins. Every mile brings a new set of outrangeously excited people who cheer for you as if you were family. The ethnicty of each neighborhood distracts even the most challenged runner. And the Central Park finish just can't be beat. It's a run to make you feel like a star. Just do it.

"The marathon of all marathons..." (about: 2005)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Well, where to start? NYC was AWESOME. The course was fantastic, and the organization was like clockwork. However, what really makes this marathon is the crowd support. UNREAL!! From start to finish you are being cheered on. The only place they couldn't pack the crowd in was on the bridges. Helpful hint: people were writing their names on the arms, shirts, etc. I wondered why they were doing this, but after you run for just 10 minutes, you soon see why. The crowd reads your name and cheers you on - "Go Frank!" or "Keep it up Chris".... Just awesome. NYC is THE marathon to run. The crowd is AMAZING. You'll really be inspired before, during and after this run. If you only do one marathon in your life, DO THIS ONE! Thank you NYC. You changed my life!

"SUPER BOWL OF MARATHONS" (about: 2005)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I will make this short. New York is AMAZING. Crowd support is unbelievable and the course, well, you're in NY, and from the start to finish, you get views of that famous skyline (and a painful reminder of that terrible day in 2001 - the hole in the skyline still hurts). The expo is well run considering how many people they have to handle, and the volunteers are great. All marathon runners have to run NY at least once.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This race is amazing. You get to see all the little cool parts of NYC and run through all the 5 parts. The spectators are the best, I put my name on my shirt and heard AMY, AMY, AMY! Shouting the whole time. I will definitely do it again. Unfortunately I didn't get lucky enough this year, but maybe next. Every Burrough has locals come out with their live bands and support. So many people run this that you should take your camera along the way to take photos. The bridges are amazing but the crowd is the best. Coolest thing I've ever done! I did my worst time but 35,000 people got in my way but definitely the most exciting experience! Very well organized, along the race not much food so plan ahead.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Fantastic course... fantastic spectators... quite a spectacle, quite a show. I think this is the greatest marathon in a great city. I had a blast, despite the difficult logistics of getting there, getting out to the starting line, standing in lines, etc. Just a fantastic race. DO IT!

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 5 ING NY was my 5th marathon and it was a tough day! Due to heat, dehydration took its toll. After I couldn't get over it and missed an H2O station at mile 15, I decided that due to the number of runners, NY was not the marathon I had dreamed it would be. I changed my mind when I hit Manhattan with crowds 10 people-deep on both sides of the ave. AMAZING!! SUPPORTIVE and LOUD!! It is my worst finish time to date, but my best marathon experience. I love NY and will run it again.
