"Awesome Race" (about: 2003)

I've run this race each of the past two years and intend on continuing annually. The course is tough, no doubt, but that's the appeal. It's a small field of only around 400, but the race is great. The scenery keeps you from feeling the distress of the hills. Last year I set a PR and never felt better at the end! There aren't huge numbers of spectators as at the Ironman race in August, but those who come out to volunteer or cheer are terrific. First-class race in every way and the clothing article included in the 'peach of a deal' is well worth the cost of entry alone!

"Fantastic scenic and challenging course" (about: 2003)

This race course renewed my interest in road running. The course is very scenic as it winds through orchards and ranch land. The organization was great. The food fantastic. I look forward to running this race year after year.

"A scenic and challenging course." (about: 2002)

This was definitely a challenging and demanding course. For those who have run Vancouver and believe going over the Burrard Street Bridge(three times) makes it a hilly (and demanding)course, then run this marathon which will make Vancouver seem like a flat course. McLean Creek hill at the 17 mile mark just keeps on climbing.
