Race with views of bears ears national monument, monument valley, ship rock, the sleeping ute, comb ridge & the abajo mountains. Gradually dropping more than 1,700 feet net over 26.2 miles, the bears ears marathon course is designed to be a fast, point-to-point, scenic race. As a USATF certified course that means becoming Boston qualified just got easier... Faster course for better results

This is a small race with an enthusiastic and dedicated race director. Running along a 2-lane paved highway for most of the distance gave me the opportunity to dial into a rhythm and enjoy the southwest open vistas and canyons. If you don't need spectators or a big running crowd, this is a fun marathon. Don't let the 2000' elevation drop fool you - there are a few sections of rolling hills to keep it interesting
