Search For a Marathon
What factors are important when choosing a marathon? It varies from person to person. Consider these factors:
- Location - Choose a marathon near home and/or plan a trip around a marathon (it's the best excuse for travel that we've found!)
- Number of Runners - Depending on your expected finish time and the number of runners in the marathon, you may find yourself running alone or crushed by the crowds. If you're a three-hour marathoner, you may be running alone in a marathon with less than a couple of thousand runners and may do better with a larger race. If you're a four-hour marathoner, you may be crushed in the largest races and may have more fun in a mid-sized marathon. But, it's up to you!
- Date - If you live in Northern clime, it may be harder than you think to train all winter for a Spring marathon. But, a mid-summer marathon may be too hot. Choose wisely.
