AmeriHealth New Jersey Named Title Sponsor of
Atlantic City Marathon Race Series
Atlantic City, NJ – March 21, 2014 – The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series
organizers today announced that AmeriHealth New Jersey will be the title
sponsor of Atlantic City's April Fools Half Marathon on April 6, 2014, as
well as the 2014 Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon on October 19,
2014.
The new sponsorship means a new name for several of the Race Series events.
The Atlantic City Marathon, which is the third oldest continuing marathon
in the United States, and a Certified Boston Qualifier, will be known as
the AmeriHealth New Jersey Atlantic City Marathon & Half Marathon. The 5K
and 10K on Saturday will continue to be known as the Shore Medical Center
10K & 5K and the Kids Fit Final Mile Sponsored by Atlantic County Council
of Education Associations. The AmeriHealth New Jersey April Fools Half
Marathon and Shore Medical Center 11K & 7K are expected to sell out this
year for the first time since the races inception in 2012.
The 2014 AmeriHealth New Jersey April Fools Half Marathon Race Weekend will
see over 3,000 runners from the local, regional and National community come
together to run the ocean front course along the Atlantic City Boardwalk
and Atlantic Ave. of Ventnor, Margate and Longport showing off what the
Atlantic City area has to offer visitors.
