   Atlantic City Marathon, sports expo may disrupt traffic this weekend (Press of Atlantic City)
The marathon and half marathon begin 8 a.m. Sunday on the Boardwalk at Michigan Avenue, in front of Ballys Atlantic City. About 2,000 people are registered for the marathon, with another 200 to 300 expected to sign up this weekend. The race winds through Atlantic City streets and the Boardwalk all the way to Longport.

   Virginia runner wins Atlantic City Marathon for fourth time (Press of Atlantic City)
John Piggott of Williamsburg, Virginia, was so far ahead of the other runners at the 50th Atlantic City Marathon on Sunday morning that he passed all but one of the half-marathoners, who started at the same time and ran the same course for part of the race. The 43-year-old Piggott won the 26.2-mile race in 2 hours, 35 minutes, 41 seconds, more than 15 minutes ahead of anyone else.

Sixty-four year old Donald Arthur finished his thirty-third marathon with the heart that he has had for just twelve years. Arthur completed his first marathon fifteen months after his heart transplant and has been completing them ever since.
