		Coffin Top Finisher at Valley Harvest Marathon (The Advertiser) Alex Coffin of Saint John boldly predicted he would not only win the Valley Harvest Marathon, but do so in a new course record. He would have to beat David MacLennans course record of 2:34.52. Coffin went on to win but only ran 2 hours 41 minutes and 18 minutes. MacLennan would follow Coffin for second place in 2 hours 46 minutes and 44 seconds.

		Harvest Marathon attracts top-level competitors (The Advertiser) Event coordinator Dwayne MacLeod confirmed last week that some high-profile runners have committed to the running in the October 12 marathon. The race will include Alex Coffin, who won this years Saint John Marathon by the Sea. Coffin plan's on winning the Harvest Marathon with a new course record. The old record was 2 hours 34 minutes set last year.
