		One week until the Seashore Marathon (Cape Gazette) A record number of participants from more than 40 states will toe the line for the eighth annual Rehoboth Beach Running Companys Seashore Marathon & Half-Marathon, scheduled for 7 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5. As of Nov. 20, the race closed at a record 2,991 participants, broken down as 1,866 in the half and 1,125 in the full marathon. An interesting stat, and it definitely shows the trend of how far female distance running has come, is that there are 1,223 male runners in the race and 1,765 female runners. Forty-six states, including Alaska, will be represented.

		Foot Power: Veteran Globetrotters Keep On Running (The York Daily Record) Mike Ball of Wellsville and Clay Shaw of New York contributed unique stories to this year's Rehoboth Beach Beach Marathon. Ball recently completed the Athens Classic Marathon, which marked the 2,500 anniversary of the marathon. While Clay completed his 174th career marathon, and has completed the US 50 state goal, and is even on #44 the 2nd time around.
