"Y'all really know how to treat a runner" (about: 2018)

The swag may not be much but it is quality and useful! I love the pre- and post-race swag from this race. The directors always give items that I can (and totally do) use on a daily basis.
When there are spectators, they are wonderful!

The medical area and nutrition stops are the best and the volunteers were AMAZING!
Loved the course!

Post race food is REALLY good.

I don't know how you do it every year, but you continue to always put on one of the best races in Texas!

"Great Race" (about: 2018)

I felt and ran my personal best at this race! The course was great and the fans were very energetic and spaced out throughout the entire race. Some things that could have made it better was a longer starting period with larger streets (to thin out the pack), larger mile signs, signs to let us know the stations with food available, and something other than goos. Overall, awesome race!

"Better marked route" (about: 2018)

First Marathon
COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 5

Overall I loved the mostly flat course. The route needed to be marked better. There were more than several occasions where I needed to ask am I going in the right direction. Also where the full/half split is located it would have been better someone manned at that spot telling runners half left, full straight. I did love the post race jackets and snacks. The pizza rolls and burritos were great

Overall, great race! Congrats to the organizers! With the new location of the packet pickup/expo this year, it would have been nice to have more wayfinding signage in the parking lot. I liked the high school location in previous years.

"I HAD SO MUCH FUN" (about: 2018)

4-5 previous marathons | 2 Bryan/College Station Marathons
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 4

I gave the course 5 stars because it was a great course, and there weren't many 'straight line running' moments. I like to have a course with a lot of turns because it helps break up the distance in your mind! Refreshments and fuel were great, the people handing them out were encouraging. The group that rode stationary bikes around mile 3 were so funny, police offers were great, friendly spectators! overall a great time

"Parking is the best with multiple entrances!" (about: 2018)

11-50 previous marathons | 6+ Bryan/College Station Marathons

Many times getting to a race and parking is stressful. Parking at the mall on a Sunday morning is the best. easy to get to with multiple entrances and plenty of parking!

On time starting is great. Fans and water stations spot on! My favorite this year were those maroon sweatshirts. Great color, warm and 'feel good' quality and perfect for the finish when it was a bit chilly! This was the best finishers jacket EVER!

The course was great ending with a downhill to the finish. Great after party as well. Great course, organization, and swag!

Plenty of water/Gatorade stations
Energy stations
Perfect children passing medals out at the end
AMAZING race swag that gets better every year

"Super organized - super fun!" (about: 2018)

We couldn't have had better weather for a marathon. I've done this every year since the BCS Marathon/Half Marathon started in 2011 and it just keeps getting better. Kudos to all the people that make this great race happen. I've participated in smaller races that were not nearly as well orchestrated as this one. Thank you to Chris and his amazing volunteers!

"Great experience for my first half-marathon!" (about: 2018)

First Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

I was nervous to run my first half-marathon, but I enjoyed getting reminders and encouragement of what to do to prepare for the race. The race itself was really organized and had a great route with plans for those who wanted to support me as well. Even after the race they made sure I had a good time. It was a great first experience and I am excited to run again!

"Awesome race ... the community support was off" (about: 2018)

6-10 previous marathons | 4-5 Bryan/College Station Marathons

The race and course were perfect. There needs to be some type of security at the round about after mile 6.5 (or so). There were several drivers that cut runners off, drivers were super impatient and going the wrong way on the round about, and generally rude and dangerous drivers when security was not present. Also several drivers would not do what the police officers were directing ... I and an officer nearly go run over by a driver that would not stop.
