"BEST Race in Texas and BEYOND!" (about: 2014)

Wow. What a race. These guys really take care of you, support you, provide a great race course, and make you feel like everyone is a winner! Then there are the small touches you NEVER find in a race - the philanthropic spirit yet as a runner this run is better than BIG races with BIG names and fees that are all profit. They support you in training and help you each step of the way prior to the race. Great race expo too. These guys give back, give to the runners, and provide a phenomenal experience. Loved it! I've run multiple half-marathons (10+) and this was my first marathon. All in All BEST race I've ever run and a big part is because of the guys that make BCS about ALL runners - first timers, elites, and even those who 'get their moneys worth' of seeing the course. THANKS BCS! Can't wait until next year!

Great event. Nothing seemed to be overlooked in the planning. Everything from signing up to following up after the run has answered any questions I may have had.

Marathon #14 for me and I have to say that I just don't understand how this is called a '5 star' course...

The part around campus is great, but the rest of it? There are long lonely stretches out by the golf course and miles on a main road with traffic stopped and pumping exhaust next to you.

Crowd support at 5 stars seems generous too. There were pockets of support on campus, but again its just so lonely out there for much of the time.

In regard to organization, this is a 1st class race all the way. The expo, start and finish lines, and communication from the race director were great.

"The most excellent Marathon!" (about: 2014)

The starting line was well organized and the race began smoothly (without the chaos that can occur). There were plenty of port-o-potties, mile markers were accurate, spectator support was plentiful and exuberant. Traffic control was strict and unambiguous. There was a great selection of post-race goodies. The race director personally provides a 'welcome back' at the finish line. It was all good.

First Marathon

The support you receive from the day you register all the way through the week after the race is uncomparable! These folks go above and beyond to make sure the race is just as enjoyable for the speedy rabbits as those wanting to take in a little more scenery. This was the first full marathon for both my wife and I; however due to our experience and success only made possible through Chris and his team, it won't be our last. This team allows you to enter the starting line with complete confidence because they have you covered from encouraging e-mails, pre-race reminders, awesome swag, great expo, motivational start line, amazing course, crowd support like no other, and the best post-race party you could ask for. And what better place to run, than Aggie Land!

Could not have asked for a better first marathon experience. Organizers put every effort into making it the best possible race for each and every runner. They went above and beyond on every detail.

Might be a bit biased being a former student but I loved this marathon. Hit all the highlights around campus and through in a few hills midway to break it up.

"Best event for the money." (about: 2014)

This event was once again put together so well. From the expo which seems to get bigger every year, to the race, and the after party.

Most food and support I have seen at an event outside of cycling events.

"Excellent management and great volunteers." (about: 2014)

This is an excellent event. Superbly managed, great support and amazing volunteers throughout the course. I was told this by previous years runners and it was everything they said and more. The most impactful detail is the charitable support it provides for bringing attention to the children and providing financial support for rescuing the children. Please don't stray from this mission. Thank you.

"wonderful race, organization and spectators!" (about: 2014)

The run through campus was great, it allowed my family to walk easily to different points on the course without having to drive. I was surprised by the number and enthusiasm of the spectators, the crowd did actually give me extra motivation when I needed it at times. The course varied enough to keep me interested in the scenery even when I was exhausted. Staff and volunteers were tremendously supportive. Terrific race overall.
