"Great mix of incline/decline that challenges you!" (about: 2014)

They are gradual inclines and declines so it breaks of the monotony without breaking your hip flexors.

"Fantastic!" (about: 2014)

This really has to be the best street race in Texas and one of the best in the US. The charity they support, the organization, the communication with runners, the incredible resources on course, the swag, the volunteers... All incredible!

"Pretty Good" (about: 2014)

I expected much more from spectators since so much of this race was actually through A&M, but there were a lot of long empty stretches. More troubling were the pacers. ALL of the Marathon pacers started out way to fast, the 3:50 guy was running a 7:27 pace for the first 3 miles!!! They pretty much all lost their groups. Several pacers just quit when their group fell behind rather than finish the course and maybe pick up other runners who were struggling and needed a boost.

Events like this come down to organization, and the BCS crew has that figured out. Very well done from start to finish and I will definetly be returning next year!

This is a very organized race with amazing volunteer suport and the spectors cheering us on was so motivational. When you enter the finish you will be treated as VIP. This is a marathon you should run. Be sure to book a room ahead of time, they fill up fast.

From start to finish, the whole race was extremely organized and very well put together. This was my first marathon and I'll definitely be back next year for my second!

"Best race I run each year" (about: 2014)

The BCS is hands down my favorite race each year. The organization, runner communication, charity work, and entire runner experience are outstanding. I run races from 4000-30,000 runners and this is the best!

Kerri Kretzmeier from Valley Mills, TX (12/15/2014)
"I wish I could give them 6 stars scriss the board!" (about: 2014)

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this race is. From the great expo to the wonderful after party, there is no detail I can even criticize and there typically is ALWAYS something that a race needs to do better. Honestly, my biggest compliment to this race is that is is the most beginner friendly race I have ever done. Chris Fields understands the determination and pain that a beginner running their first marathon feels and goes above and beyond to take care of those people who are just starting their journey. I am sure that his passion is why this race and The Mercy project has been so successful. This was my second year to run the BCS marathon and I can't imagine missing a year from here on iut.

These people do a great job. An incredible amount of work goes into putting an event of this size together. My wife and I definitely plan to come back next year.
