"Amazing experience" (about: 2013)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Every part of this experience was fantastic. It is so well organized, and the race directors stay in constant contact with participants via e-mail and facebook; you have no concerns and know exactly where you need to be and when and what to expect. The spectators and course support are also amazing! Such an upbeat group! The start is a very short walk from the parking area, and the finish is not far from there either. The race directors really listen to your comments and concerns and do absolutely everything to make this race ideal. You also get A LOT for your race fee - a participation shirt (long sleeved), a finishers shirt (dry fit), medal, this year we got a foam roller, amazing post race spread... Lastly, you know you are benefiting a wonderful cause (the Mercy Project) by participating in this race. I really can't think of any negative thing to say about this race (other than the weather being very unpredictable - can't do anything about that!)!

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 I have run this race all three years and will be back as long as I can move. Chris Field is a runner, and his passion shows in the way this event is organized. The route is great, expo is fun, and the value is outstanding! I recommend this for anyone looking to break into distance running.

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 The half course was flat and easy. It was very fun to run through the Texas A&M Campus. It would have been nice to have more entertainment along the route but the cold weather may have kept them away.

"Awesome event to run your 1st Marathon!!" (about: 2013)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I completed my first marathon during this race. The course was laid out well and the organization of the event from start to finish was second to none. The course was full of energetic spectators and motivating support staff at every aid station. The available spectator maps and parking suggestions allowed my family to 'find me' at different areas along the course and show their support for me as I ran. The event director and staff provide constant updates and true concern for every participant throughout the leadup towards race day and until the last runner crosses the finish line. It was a great time that has now become an annual event for myself and my family. Great event for a great cause. Gig 'em!!

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 A little cold at the start, but proved to be great running conditions after about a mile. Plenty of water stations, medical and those fraternities made for a fun day. Being a graduate of A&M in '72, it was good to see how the campus had changed for the better. Great from start to finish, great job to all the staff and volunteers.

"First 13.1 will be hard to top!" (about: 2013)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This race was my first half marathon and it will be hard to top! My mom and I ran it together and truly enjoyed the experience. I have done countless 5Ks and this race was the most organized race I've ever been in. We received reliable updates on the weather and possible changes. There were awesome give-aways on facebook in the months leading up to the race. Lots of fuel during the race and plenty of food/beer at the finish line. I enjoyed giving Chris a 'high-five' at the finish line- very appreciative of all of his hard work for this event! The spectators and volunteers are wonderful - they really helped get us through the last few miles. As a former Aggie, my only wish would be for TAMU to be more involved with the race (Corps, Miss Rev, Aggie Band, etc).
