Very organized race. Happy the race was not cancelled due to the cold weather. Many spectators braved the elements to cheer the runners on.

If your dream race is to be treated like a person and not just another bib number; to be greeted at the finish line by the race director; to find ample stocked fuel stations on the course regardless of your pace and to find ample stocked food stations waiting for you at the finish regardless of your pace; to have your medal draped over your neck by one of the amazing children from the Down Syndrome Association and to see the images of the children whose lives you are saving by participating in a worthwhile race then don't even think twice. Sign up to run this marathon. You may not be familiar with Bryan - College Station (about 2 hours northwest of Houston) but you will never regret taking part in this epic event.

"Amazing" (about: 2013)

I have run a couple of other marathons and this one is by far the BEST. From the beginning of the race we are kept very up to date about everything going on so we are always informed. The course itself is not hard and the supporters along the way are GREAT. So supportive and great motivators. The finish was excellent: the volunteers there to help you get warm and food to give energy after a very scenic 13.1 miles. Everybody is so friendly, energetic, and supportive I'm definitely going to run this race every year, simply put its an AMAZING race.

"Great run for newbies" (about: 2013)

This was my first half marathon and I absolutely loved it. The course was mostly flat and beautiful - running through older neighborhoods and nearby Texas A&M campus. They had organizations from the school cheering as you ran through the campus which was fun and really motivating.

This was my first time to run the BCS half marathon. Expo was great, and I even bought several items for myself and family. Spectators along the course were very encouraging.

This was my first half marathon. I registered the Friday before the race when a couple spots opened up due to inclement weather conditions and I was surprised that the organization was able to accommodate the extra entries. I was happy to be a part of the race. The volunteers did a great job. I would definitely like to be a part of BCS marathon 2014.

Great race! Loved the organization, and all the communications - especially with the weather! The course was awesome. Loved the hugs from the downs syndrome children when I crossed the finish line! The food after the race was AWESOME. The bling was great!

"Great race" (about: 2013)

Great organization: organizer provided plenty of updates as challenging winter weather came through area. Was glad to see there were still so many volunteers at the water stations given the weather.

Post race food was great. And, top-notch beer from Karbach, not just light beer.

I love the course since it's my hometown - only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 was that I save 5's for destination courses if they warrant it.

Spectators were as expected due to the weatherwould be great to have more out, but I certainly won 't complain about that.

The only minor complaint I have is the quality of the roads for the first part of the race. Lots of cracks and uneven pavement. This GREATLY improved on the second half. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. The volunteers were amazing, the race director was awesome. Very cool swag; I'd certainly race again.

This was an absolutely awesome event. The organizatation was first rate, the course was fantastic, and each water station was staffed by the best volunteers! The best part was that there was so much support at the finish - even for those of us who aren't very fast! I can't wait to do this again next year!
